Program Activities:
The Personal Options program provides consumers the option to control their own Medicaid Aged & Disabled Waiver services. Consumers receive a monthly budget based on his/her needs, and are able to use this budget to hire their own workers and purchase personal assistant services and supports. Resource Consultants work with consumers to assist them with tasks related to being their own employer. Consumers have the option of appointing a representative, and being part of a peer support group.
Personal Options began enrollment in May 2007.
